A theatrical hybrid of game night, storytelling, and boozy voyeurism wrapped in the framework of the Scientific Method.
Question: Can we create an analog experience in which a group of strangers can get to know each other in a deeper and more meaningful way?
Procedure: Armed with cocktails and a party game (Social Alchemix), a group of strangers navigate a cocktail party, skip the small talk, and get into the good stuff.
Social Alchemix (Live!) - formally known as A Cocktail Party Social Experiment - ran from Oct 2019 until Feb 2020 when it was put on hold due to COVID19. As we are negotiating how to re-enter a world where we can safely meet strangers, it is evident that we need permission, not only to share our stories, but to deeply listen, listen longer than we are used to, to feel reconnected to the human tapestry, and to fight against the isolation of the past 2 years.
