MAN UP is a groundbreaking news show for women, brought to you by the man who knows women better than they know themselves: Chip Johnson.

Chip will break down the biggest issues faced by ladies today, along with an expert guest who will explain why Chip is right. Ladies, your smiles are thanks enough!

MAN UP is written by Hunter Lang and Maggie Metnick.

Hunter Lang is a writer, comedian, and improviser. In addition to creating Man Up, Hunter is a member of the house teams Deluxe Edition and Squall! at the People’s Improv Theater. She is also on the long-running indie team Skip Intro.

Maggie Metnick is an actor, writer, and comedian. She has performed improv and stand up all over the city. She is currently using her skills to make sketch comedy content for a mortgage company. Theatre; Diaspora (Off Broadway), Pulp Verite (The Workshop Theatre) Roller Rink Temptation (WOW Cafe), Solo; “Friend, Please” (Dixon Place), “12 Year Old Boys” (The PIT).

Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $10 livestream.


No outside food or drink is allowed.

If you purchase a livestream ticket, Eventbrite will automatically email you a private YouTube link to the stream on the day of the show. If you have not received the private link by the show start time, please contact us for the link.


As we re-open we're doing everything we can to keep our audience, performers, and staff safe and are complying with all Covid regulations.

As part of this, all attendees must present proof of full vaccination to enter. Proof can be via the New York State Excelsior pass, a physical copy of the CDC card, a photo of your CDC card, or other electronic record of vaccination includes name and date (e.g., some chain pharmacies have an app with this information). In all cases the name must match that on your photo ID.

Tickets may be refunded up to 24 hours before the event. Within 24 hours we may take exchanges for other events at our discretion. No refunds after the event.
