Internet Explorers: Influencers

FRI // DEC 20

Mark Vigeant uses comedy to explore and demystify technology so that people can be aware, informed, and empowered.

Internet Explorers is his monthly live show where he takes sold out audiences (and thousands of livestreamers on Twitch) deep into a corner of the Internet to learn and laugh about everything from memes, artificial intelligence, and e-commerce to online dating, hacking, and the dark web.

This month we dive into the magical, hustling, viral, batshit world of INFLUENCERS. To many folks it seems bizarre to make a career out of posting regularly to platforms like Instagram and TikTok, but these people work harder than most and their impact on society is humongous. Don't take it from Mark- we'll have a panel of successful influencers at the show, along with other influencer experts and professionals. Oh and also Mark is going to try being an influencer for a week in advance of the show to see what all the fuss is about.
Tim Jeffreys (Influencer Expert & Marketing Director at Fohr)
Sally Burtnick (Comedian who tried to become an influencer in 1 month)
With a panel of working Influencers to talk about the best, worst, and weirdest parts of the job:
Eva Goicochea (Entrepreneur, Founder and CEO of Maude; @evagoicochea)
Lauren Caruso (Managing Editor of the Zoe Report; @laurencaruso_)
Angelique Miles (Former Music Publishing Exec, Current Fitness Influencer; @angeliquemiles)
YanYi (Fashion and Lifestyle Blogger; @miss_yanyi)
Nicole Loher (Runner and Fitness Influencer; @nicoleloher)

Mark is joined each month by some of New York’s most brilliant comedians (Comedy Central, SNL, UCB) and technology experts (The Internet Archive, OkCupid, Buzzfeed).
