Egghead: The Genius of Birds with Science Friday

THU // AUG 29
Birds have gotten a bad rap: Nut brained. Pigeon heads. Lame duck. The Science Friday Book Club is gathering to set the record straight with some local bird brained experts (that’s a compliment, we swear!).
Bring your binoculars and get ready for an indoor birding adventure! This summer, we are reading The Genius of Birds by Jennifer Ackerman and exploring the lives and minds of our fowl friends. Our partner organizations – NYC AudubonWild Bird Fund and Feminist Bird Club — will give us the inside swoop on how to live with, care and advocate for local bird residents and visitors. We’ll also be joined by Elizabeth Carlen, “pigeon stalker” and PhD student at Fordham University. You may even get the chance to take the test and find out: Are You Smarter Than a Woodpecker?
20% of our ticket sales will go to support our non-profit partner organizations.

Doors 6:30 PM, show 7:00 PM.
Tickets $15 in advance, $15 at the door.
This event is mixed seated and standing room. Seats are first-come, first-served.
REFUND POLICY: Tickets may be refunded up to 24 hours before the event. Within 24 hours we may take exchanges for other events at our discretion. No refunds after the event.
